Linz as the digital heart of the entire region

"Digital Linz" is a strategic initiative commissioned by Mayor Klaus Luger to take further digitalisation steps for the citizens in a targeted manner and in cooperation with research and business. Through digitalisation and impactful projects, the City of Linz aims to remain a future-ready work and living space. "Artificial Intelligence" plays a central role in this endeavour.

A core team of municipal experts coordinated the development of the programme, which was approved by the Linz City Council on 4 March 2021. Since then, continuous work has been carried out on the implementation projects, and an annual report is drawn up.

City Administration Director Mag.^a Ulrike Huemer is part of the core team and oversees the formats and content of the initiative. A "Digital Board," consisting of specialists from various fields, provides valuable professional insights.
